ECHO

Echo tells the story of the consequences of war for a human being, who in his early
childhood had to flee from his homeland and create a sense of belonging and an identity
in another part of the world. The film stands as a personal document, an autobiographic
journey back to the Sarajevo that the artist left over 10 years ago as a consequence of
the war in ex-Yugoslavia. Through both objective and poetic language the personal nar-
rative of loss of childhood and youth parallels the chaos created by war in a city that to
this day carries visible marks of the violent past.
